Saab 9-3 MK2 2006 to 2013 stereo change
What versions of the 9-3 are possible ?
It is possible to replace the stereo in the MK2 Saab 9-3 from 2006 to 2013. Please note that 2006 models (and some 2007 ones) may also be the older MK1 version which use fibre optics and these are not covered.
There are generally 2 stereo types fitted:
- GM / Delphi Grundig standard stereo with front Aux 3.5mm audio socket
- Denso or Delphi SatNav unit – with or without front Aux 3.5mm audio socket

We have 2 different installation kits available for the Saab 9-3 MK2.
Which one you need will depend on whether you want the phone buttons to work with the replacement stereo on the 9-3. Both versions support volume and track buttons.
- Standard 14 pin + 16 pin – Found on the Delphi stereo (green display) and most SatNav units. Use kit JCKFK311 OR CTKSA001
The kits are supplied with fascia, antenna adaptor, steering wheel interface, patch lead and amplifier interface (to reduce levels to amp and stop alternator whine). All versions support many different stereos from Pioneer, Alpine, Kenwood, Sony, JVC and Chinese units. Please note that some Chinese stereos do not conform to standard dimensions and will not fit the fascia without modification – check dimensions with supplier. The following buttons on the steering wheel (where fitted) are supported:
- Volume +
- Volume –
- Track Forward
- Track Back
- SRC – Source
- Phone Answer – Only with kit JCKFK-311
- Phone Hangup – Only with kit JCKFK-311
