Samsung S8 and S8 Plus Dropping Bluetooth Connection
Samsung S8 and S8 Plus dropping connection with Parrot MKi9000, MKI9100 and MKi9200 handsfree kits.
This is a known issue with the Samsung S8 and S8 Plus and can be resolved by using a special paring mode on the Parrot handsfree kit.
Method
Delete the current Bluetooth pairing on the phone ( in Bluetooth settings ) and on the MKi9100 or MKi9200 ( Settings / Bluetooth / Paired Devices / Phone x / press centre button and scroll to “delete”, then press Green button to confirm ).
Before pairing the S8 or S8 Plus again enable a special pairing mode on the MKi9100 / MKi9200:
Settings / Bluetooth / Pair with.. / Scroll down and select “AT force sync”, then press centre button to confirm.
Search for new device on the Samsung S8 / S8 Plus and select the Parrot then pair using code 0000
This should then resolve the connection issues

can you stream spotify wirelessly from a samsung s8?
Morning Paul,
You can stream any music source using Bluetooth streaming on the MKi9 series of kits:
Spofity, Deezer, Music in Phone memory, Tune In, etc…
We have problems with both an Galaxy S7 and S10 where the parrot drops the connection during calling, also multiple times. With the above mentioned option it see.s that as soon as the phone is settled everything is fine. I wil try to disable addressbook sync as I believe the problem is to find there..
Hello James,
Which Parrot handsfree kit ?
Version number of Parrot software ?
Hello,
It’s the Parrot MKI9200 with software v3.10.
As you have a version 3 control box there is no update available for the MKi9200.
Please try the following:
1. Disable phonebook and call list sync on the Galaxy S10 or 7
2. Delete current pairings. Then, on the MKi9200 go into Settings / Bluetooth / Pair Phone and select “AT Sync” mode and then pair phone. Try the same with “No AT Sync” if not successful.
Hi Folks I was hoping you might be able to help. I have a Samsung Note 9 paired with a newish MKI9200, everything works fine, it is just that about every 45 seconds it makes the chime noise that it does when I start the car. I have done a factory reset changed the battery in the remote. It is very irritating, any thoughts would be appreciated.
Hello Stuart,
Does it do the same f you turn off the Bluetooth on the S8 ?
If so, would point to something on the S8 sending tones as the Mki9200 does not have a connection tone
