Parrot CK3100 Unable To Pair New Device
I have removed all paired phones from my Parrot CK3100 but cannot pair another phone.
This is quite a common problem and the good news is that the CK3100 is probably not faulty.
This error is caused, for the most part, by an incorrect installation.
When the Parrot CK3100 is turned off it MUST power down correctly by showing “Good Bye” on the screen. If the CK3100 powers off instantly without showing the “Good Bye” message it has been installed incorrectly.
This installation fault will need to be corrected to ensure proper operation.
But my CK3100 has worked fine for ages..
This still doesn’t mean it was installed correctly to start with. When the CK3100 shuts down with a “Good Bye” it performs memory clearance and general housekeeping.
If the power is removed instantly this housekeeping does not occur. Over time the memory on the CK3100 will fill up, which means you cannot pair another phone.
What to do about this issue
JustCarKits can repair this fault for a reasonable charge, if you are in our installation area. Please call for an appointment.
Alternatively…
1. Get the installation fault rectified by the original installer, since they fitted it incorrectly to start with.
OR
2. Locate CK3100 control box and wiring in vehicle and remedy fault.
Using a multimeter test the permanent 12V connection on the Parrot control box power lead. The Red lead needs to be permanent 12V and the Orange lead is only 12V when the ignition is switched on.
If the power feeds are the wrong way around simply undo the tops of the Red and Orange fuseholders and swop one to the other. You will then have a Red wire going to one side of the fuseholder and an Orange one coming out of the other side. ( If you lose the fuse(s) it is a 20mm 5A slow blow type ).
Finally, disconnect the 4 pin power connector from the Parrot CK3100 for a minute or so for the capacitors to discharge.
Apply power once again and check that you can pair a phone and that when you turn the ignition off the CK3100 shows “Good Bye” and shuts down after a couple of seconds. Please note that unless you have paired a phone with the CK3100 you may only see the “Good Bye” message for a very short period.
CK3100 pairing code is 1234

V5,0 works fine with the iPhone 7 we have. But my iPhone 11 will not pair, or if it does, it will not next time I get in the car.
Is there any fix for iPhone 11?
Thanks
You probably have an install issue with the CK3100.
