How to reset a Parrot CK3000 Evo using steering wheel buttons

The Parrot CK3000 has the option of being installed to use the existing buttons on the steering wheel. There are interfaces from a few different manufacturers: Parrot, Paser, Connects2, Audicom to name a few.
WHY RESET THE CK3000 EVO ?
The CK3000 Evo can accept up to 3 paired phones. To pair another phone you will need to reset the CK3000 Evo. Normally you would simply hold the Red and Green buttons on the Parrot remote, but what to do when the CK3000 Evo has been installed to use the buttons on the vehicle steering wheel ?
How to reset using the steering wheel buttons ?
It is quite a simple procedure, but complicated by different manufacturer’s reset procedure. There are quite a few different interfaces available and it will not be obvious which on you have, unless you take the dash apart. That being said, simply try the 3 different methods.
- Turn on the vehicle ignition
- Wait 20 seconds
- Press the Volume control buttons in the following sequence: Vol +, Vol -, Vol +, Vol -,Vol +, Vol -,Vol +, Vol -, Vol +, Vol – ( 5 times in succession ). If successful the CK3000 Evo will reset and say “please pair phone”.
- If that method does not work, simply invert the button sequence: Volume -, Volume +, Volume -, Volume +, Volume -, Volume +, Volume -, Volume +, Volume -, Volume + ( 5 times in succession ). If successful the CK3000 Evo will reset and say “please pair phone”.
- Connects2 Audi steering wheel interface: Press the volume centre button 5 times in quick succession.
