Hi we have a MKi9200 ver 3.00. We try to reset because it will not pair and say memory full. When we go to advance setting and reset to factory setting it show it reset. Start up and language request and reset. We try then to pair again, we get the same alert memory full.
Hope you can assist.

Go into Settings / Bluetooth and then select Phone X. Press centre knob and rotate to “delete”. Press Green button to confirm.
Repeat for all other paired phones until all have been removed.
Then try to pair the new phone.

I have an MK9000 v1.96 which used to work fine. I have just changed my phone but am getting the “memory full pairing failed message”.
Pressing red and green buttons simultaneously has no effect and since I read that this is the first step in the firmware update process I am at a loss.
Can you advise please.

That is correct – this only works on the CK3000 Evo….
Go into Settings / Bluetooth / Paired Devices and Select a phone you want to remove. Press centre button and then scroll to “Delete”. Press Green button to confirm.
Repeat for all other devices that you with to remove

Many thanks for the prompt reply, however I can’t relate it to using my remote buttons.
Pressing centre button then rotating gives me the following announced options
“ipod”-“usb”-“bluetooth audio” (pressing after this just gets a plip plip) “line in”- “settings”
Pressing after “settings” gives me
“volume” – “the virtual super bass effect is activated” -“random play is activated” – “update process” (pressing this gives me “waiting for update”)
Hope that makes sense – can you help?

On the MKi9100 it should give you the following menu sequence after clicking once and then rotating the centre button:
IPOD / BLUETOOTH AUDIO / LINE IN / AUDIO EFFECTS / SETTINGS
Go into Settings / Bluetooth / Paired Devices / and then delete the ones you don’t want
Thanks again, however I have the MKi 9000 not 9100 so the options are as per my previous ……there’s nothing about paired devices……

MKI9000 is simple.
Turn on, wait for booting tones then hold Red and Green buttons at same time for 2 to 3 seconds.
You will hear “memory erasing in progress” followed by a re-boot.
After re-boot wait 30 secs, press centre button to select language and it will then re-boot again.
After this you should be able to pair a new phone.
Different software versions do slightly different boot sequence, so this may vary. Have described V3 sequence
Thanks again, but this doesn’t work on my V 1.96. I wait a minute or 2 after turning the kit on (with the ignition), but don’t get a boot tone and if I then press red and green nothing happens. Same with my phone on or powered down. Sometimes I will get “memory full pairing failed” when I get in the car , if I attempt via my phone to pair a new device, then I get same message.
Can you help? should I attempt to update the system?

This is what should happen when you turn ignition on (with the MKi9000)
After approx 10 seconds the kit will boot and tones will be heard through speakers indicating the kit has turned on. If this does not happen you either have an install issue or someone has picked a power feed that is not there until engine run. Depending on who fitted it / vehicle type they may have used an ignition generator. Without seeing the install it is difficult to know.
On the MKi9000 24 way plug, Red is permanent 12V, Orange is ignition switched 12V. Black is ground. Before doing anything else check these with a multimeter as this will save a lot of guesswork.
If these are correct, then you probably have a faulty control box if it does not power up in the correct sequence with tones.
Thing is -it used to work fine. So is there any way the wiring can be wrong?
It always only received power when the ignition was on (as shown by the charging indication on the phone)
After a short while it would produce a double “tom tom” type sound and function correctly.
But it doesn’t do that any more – it just sometimes announces memory full pairing failed, sometimes not. It will always give me the menu options I noted before.
Do you think I should try to update the firmware?
My Parrot Mki9000 keeps prompting memory full I cant reset memory as the control is through the car steering wheel its a BMW please help

It is the same process for the MKi9000
Only difference is after reset you will need to set language when it re-starts.
If you need another language use the Track forward button to skip to required language, otherwise will default to English.
Press phone button to set language.
MKi9000 with then re-boot again.
After this you can pair with it: 0000
I am having a problem using an IPhone 8 with a Parrot MKi9200. I have had the Parrot for over 3 years and occasionally it would drop out on a long journey but nothing too annoying. I have also had the same phone for nearly a year without any real problem.
However for the last week or so the connection has been dropping when listening to music every few minutes which is really frustrating.
I have done all the resets on the Parrot and the phone as recommended in your blog and even changed the battery but it is still no better. i think there may have been a recent upgrade to IOS 12.2. Would this have made any difference?

Hello Robin,
There does not seem to be a simple answer to this, apart from the latest Apple software update may have caused issues. This is not unknown with
the iOS updates.
You can try a couple of things:
Delete current pairings.
Before pairing again on the Parrot go into Settings \ Bluetooth \ Pair with Phone and select “No Sync” option. This will stop phone book transfer for testing.
If that behaves, do the same again, except select “AT Sync” as the pairing mode and see how that goes.
If still no better then it’s one for Apple to answer regarding their software “enhancement”.
