The iPhone problem V14.2 and Bluetooth handsfree

Over the years there has been one consistent thread with Parrot handsfree kits) and other car kits and it has been the iPhone issue.

From version 4 onwards there have always been problems with Bluetooth connectivity on the iPhone and best to avoid any of the main iterations, i.e. 12.00, 14.00 etc.

Without fail, Bluetooth accessories that used to work fine no longer function with the “updates”.

Yet again have wasted more time on this issue and now it’s with ios version 14.2. If you have a Parrot 3200LS with V2.12c, it will no longer connect though it will pair.

A partial fix is to roll back the Parrot 3200LS software to V2.03e where it will connect. However, it now take 6 to 7 seconds for the audio to connect when you get an incoming call…  There is no cure until apple correct the software issue. History has shown that you shouldn’t hold your breath for that one.

As a final thought: The same 3200LS works fine with an Android phone…
